Iola & Rural Fire Department & Ambulance Service Apparatus

Engine 924

  • This is a 2012 Pierce Saber engine

  • It has a Waterous 1500 g.p.m. pump and a 1000 gallon tank.

  • It seats 6 firefighters (2 front + 4 back)

  • It is our primary response engine

  • It also responds to vehicle accidents as well as HAZMAT responses

Engine 926

  • This is a 1993 Pierce Dash Custom Engine

  • It has a 1250 gallon tank

  • It seats 6 firefighters (2 front + 4 back)

  • It is our secondary response engine

  • It also responds to all wildland fires and serves as our MABAS response engine

Tender 922

  • This is a 2006 Pierce Sterling Tender

  • It has a 3000 gallon capacity

  • It has a permanently mounted pump and is plumbed for both drafting and pumping

  • It provides our water supply for most fires

Rescue 925

  • This is a 1999 3D Paramount III Rescue Truck with a FL70 Freightliner chassis

  • This carries all of our vehicle extrication and rescue equipment as well as other fire and support equipment

  • It seats 6 firefighters (2 front + 4 back)

  • It is our primary rescue vehicle and responds to all motor vehicle accidents

  • It also responds to most fire/rescue/calls

Brush Truck 923

  • This is a 2002 Ford F350 XL Brush Truck

  • It has a CET Manufacturing slide-in unit in the back which houses a pumping unit as well as a polymer water tank

  • This is our primary wildland fire response vehicle

Squad 921

  • This is a 2019  Ford F150 XLT

  • It is used primarily to pull our Med UTV

  • This vehicle is also used to transport firefighters and EMTs as needed

Squad 927

  • This is a 2019 Ford F250 XL

  • It has storage units in the back topper and a slide-out unit mounted to the bed.

  • It is primarily used to pull our Fire UTV and also serves as our fire rehab vehicle

  • This vehicle is also used to transport firefighters and EMTs as needed

Ambulance 805

  • This is a 2018 Ford E450 Chassis with a Braun Chief XL Ambulance

  • It is equipt with a Striker cot lifting device and contains all of our needed medical equipment and supplies

  • It is our primary ambulance 

  • It responds to all medical calls and motor vehicle accidents as well as any fire response

Ambulance 806

  • This is a 2009 Ford Chassis with a Braun Chief XL Ambulance

  • It is equipt with a Striker cot lifting device and contains all of our needed medical equipment and supplies

  • It is our secondary ambulance 

  • It responds to all backup medical calls and as a 2nd ambulance to motor vehicle accidents

Fire UTV

  • This is a 2015 Kubota RTV X900 Fire UTV

  • It has a Water Ranger slide-in unit which consists of a pump, hose reel, and water storage tank

  • It responds to all wildland fires

  • It is also used as needed in other rescue situations requiring off-road travel

Med UTV

  • This is a 2022 Can Am Defender Pro XT Med UTV

  • It has a Medlite Transport slide in unit made by Kimtek Corp

  • It carries a stokes basket, longboard, and needed medical equipment and supplies

  • It responds to any medical emergency or rescue requiring off-road travel

  • It is also used for medical standby at various sporting events

Gator

  • This is a 20xx John Deere Gator

  • It has a mounted medical bed attachment

  • It carries a stokes basket, longboard, and needed medical equipment and supplies

  • It serves as a secondary medical response vehicle for off-road responses and is used for medical support at community events
